The Mile 3 ushers in the next generation of Pixfra’s compact and lightweight thermal imaging monoculars. Designed to offer the powerful thermal performance synonymous with the Pixfra brand, these thermal imaging monoculars boast a wide range of new features, including an industry-first 3-in-1 control wheel, class-leading thermal sensitivity, AI-powered PIPS 3.0 image processing, a more generous 64 GB of internal memory, and much more…

Description

Powerful Thermal Imaging

The Mile 3 M335 features a 384×288, 12µm thermal sensor capable of spotting even the smallest heat source at distances of up to 1800m. Class-leading <15mK NETD thermal sensitivity achieves an unwavering thermal performance regardless of challenging weather conditions. So, whether you’re pushing through dense fog, caught in a downpour, or scanning in open fields in high humidity, the Mile 3 M335 will still reveal even the smallest heat source without breaking a sweat.

PIPS 3.0 Pro Image Processing

PIPS 3.0 Pro (Pixfra Image Processing System) enhances the Mile 3’s already impressive image quality, boosting fine details, minimising noise, improving detector responsiveness in colder conditions, and delivering a superior thermal picture at both close- and long-range.

Regardless of whether you’re observing an object or animal at the monocular’s base magnification or searching whilst fully zoomed-in, PIPS 3.0 Pro will always provide a pin-sharp image.

Fatigue-free Observation

The Mile 3 is equipped with a large 0.49” OLED display, providing a high-resolution image and a comfortable, fatigue-free observation experience.

Plus, with 6 colour palettes available, this thermal imaging monocular will adapt to varying environmental conditions. For faster, easier identification, the Sepia and Green Hot colour palettes are optimised to render observed animals/objects of interest in red for a more three-dimensional depth.

Industry-first 3-in-1 E-Wheel

Designed to achieve an effortless, one-handed thermal observation experience, the Mile 3 features an industry-first 3-in-1 integrated e-wheel, allowing for seamless operation of the monocular without having to free up your other hand — perfect for on-the-fly observation or for those who need to swap quickly between thermal imaging and glass optics. The e-wheel can achieve the following:

  • Focus: Rotate the e-wheel to focus. Focus is achieved digitally, so there’s no longer any need to reach to the front of the monocular with your other hand.
  • Zoom: A single press on the e-wheel allows you to seamlessly toggle through the Mile 3’s magnification range.
  • Control: A long press on the e-wheel brings up the Mile 3’s menu. Use the e-wheel to scroll through menu options and click down on the wheel to select.

Compact & Lightweight Design

With a streamlined and elegant design, and weighing in at just 310g, the Mile 3 M335 is compact and lightweight, just like its predecessor. Fitting comfortably in-hand, it provides hours of comfortable, fatigue-free observation. And, when not in use, the Mile 3 remains small enough and light enough to slip effortlessly into a pocket or pack, without ever becoming cumbersome.

Confident Grip: Rubberised Bodyshell

Retaining design elements that have become the signature of the Pixfra range, the Mile 3 features embossed “X” markings along the monocular’s rubberised grips and dioptre control, ensuring easier operation and a firmer hold on the device in wet conditions.

Inward-rotating Dioptre Wheel

Where other brands feature external dioptre controls, the Mile 3’s inward-rotating dioptre ring results in a more streamlined design and significantly reduces the risk of the dioptre being accidentally knocked out of adjustment when in use.

Slimline Design

To achieve its slim design, the Mile 3 does not feature a focus mechanism on the objective lens. Instead, focus is adjusted digitally via an intuitive 3-in-1 control wheel, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing and compact monocular.

Up to 11 Hours of Battery Life

Designed to keep your observations going through the day and into the night, the Mile 3 M335 is provided with x2 rechargeable 18650 batteries (one pre-installed, one spare). Each battery provides up to 5.5 hours of battery life on a single charge (depending on temperature). Batteries can be quickly and effortlessly swapped out, achieving a total of 11 hours of battery life in the field.

Built-in Video Recorder

The Mile 3 feature a built-in video recorder, recording video with audio and storing them to the device’s internal memory, so you can watch back any footage captured in the field for closer inspection after-the-fact — perfect for ecological surveys.

Share the View with Built-in Wi-Fi

With a built-in Wi-Fi module, connect easily to the Pixfra app to take advantage of a trove of connectivity features, including the ability to use your phone as a second screen (ideal for surveys and group projects), view a gallery of pictures and videos captured on the device, take remote control of the Mile 3 — so you can make changes to settings without having to touch the monocular, and more!

For group observations, the Mile 3 can even be connected via Wi-Fi to up to 4 separate smart devices at the same time.

More Internal Memory

With a generous 64GB of internal memory, the Mile 3 offers 4x that of its predecessor, allowing for up to 25 hours of video or up to 150,000 photos to be stored and accessed directly on the device. Perfect for long observation sessions or ecological surveys where extended video recording is required.
