The Fujifilm XF56mmF1.2 R mid-telephoto lens features a fast maximum aperture of F.12, producing beautiful bokeh and resulting in professional-looking photography with expertly blurred backgrounds separating subject from background.
Excellent levels of sharpness are achieved when shooting with the F1.2 aperture, and the XF56mmF1.2 R’s apodization filter smooths the bokeh’s outline, resulting in portrait photography with an almost three-dimensional feel.
With its optical construction consisting of 11 glass elements in 8 groups, including 1 aspherical glass moulded lens element and 2 ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, spherical aberrations are corrected by the aspherical glass element in order to achieve high-resolution at the maximum aperture setting. By combining 2 ED lens elements and 3 cemented lens elements, this lens will significantly reduce chromatic aberration. Fujifilm’s HT-EBC (High-Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) has been applied to all lens surfaces to control ghosting and flare and guarantee a sharp and crystal-clear image.
The XF56mmF1.2 R’s construction is made up of several metal elements across the lens’ body, including the aperture and focus rings, lending a stylish and high-quality finish. The texture and torque of these rings makes for comfortable photography over long periods.
