The Trip of a Lifetime

Back in May, Tim Pilbeam of Fieldsports Channel TV and our very own Tom of Thomas Jacks were lucky enough to take a peek behind the closed doors of Pulsar’s European operation as they visited the Latvian and Lithuanian factories.

The Future in the Making: Manufacturing the Telos

The guys’ first stop on their trip was a visit to the factory in Vilnius, Lithuania, where they watched the brand new Telos LRF XP50 being assembled. Conceptualised on the back of extensive customer feedback, this device is the latest innovation in a range of already intuitive devices — offering the ability to upgrade components in order stay ahead of the curve when it comes to advancements in technology.

 

 

Pulsar’s Social Responsibilities

Next we follow the guys as they learn more about Pulsar’s dedication to what they see as their social responsibilities.

Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Pulsar has pulled their operations out of Belarus and dedicated its efforts and almost €2 million to providing safe passage and a safe haven for the staff and their children forced to flee their homes in Ukraine into Lithuania or Latvia.

The Kiev research and development facilities are still operational, but all Belarussian operations have now been relocated to the Latvian and Lithuanian facilities — ensuring the staff are rehoused and opening two schools in Vilnius, Lithuania in order to ensure more than 800 Ukrainian children receive an education unimpeded by conflict.

 

Getting Hands-On With Stream Vision Ballistics

Follow Tim & Tom to their next stop, as they head to a shooting range where they get hands-on with new Stream Vision Ballistics app — effectively a ballistic calculations tool in your pocket.

The app connects easily to your Pulsar riflescope via Bluetooth, achieving reliable long-range shooting by way of personalised algorithms. These algorithms are applied to provide accurate, flexible, and reliable trajectory corrections and allow the user to create a ballistic profile for their chosen ammunition. The app will create this ammo-specific profile and calculate vertical and horizontal corrections for the connected riflescope.

 

Thermal in Action: Latvian Wild Boar Hunting With the Thermion 2 LRF XP50 & Merger LRF XL50

As the end of their trip draws nearer, the guys take the three hour drive from Vilnius into Latvia, where they have the pleasure of heading out for a spot of Latvian wild boar hunting.

With a beautiful hunting lodge surrounded by stunning scenery with unobstructed views for hundreds of meters, this makes for the perfect opportunity to test the Thermion 2 LRF XP50 and Merger LRF XL50 to their full potential.

 

Inside the Multimillion Euro Investment in Pulsar’s Latvian Operations

On the final stop of the trip, we take a look inside the Latvian facilities.

One facility is dedicated to the manufacturing of components, where the other takes care of the assembly of units — ensuring every single component of a Pulsar device is made and assembled in Europe.

In this section you’ll discover how the bodyshells for Pulsar devices are formed and take a peek into the scale of their research and development operations.
