Description
Unparalleled Image Processing
The Fujifilm GFX100 II’s new 102MP GFX CMOS HS image sensor offers a readout speed that is twice as fast as the processor found in its predecessor. Combining this new sensor with the X-Processor 5 allows this camera to achieve an astonishing performance, producing absolutely incredible images with astonishing detail, each and every time the shutter release is pressed. Enhanced AF algorithms and subject detection enables 102MP image-making at up to 8fps with the GFX100 II’s high-speed mechanical shutter, as well as 4K/60p video recording through its huge 55mm1 imaging sensor.
Speedy AF
The GFX100 II and the X-Processor 5 usher in a new era in high-performance autofocus, with subject detection AF and an updated AF algorithm achieving an autofocus performance previously unheard of from a large format camera. Using deep-learning AI technology, the advanced AF tracking and subject detection works on human faces and eyes, animals, birds, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, aeroplanes, and trains — ensuring your images are in focus regardless of whether the subject is in motion. This tracking ability is further improved by the updated AF prediction algorithm, making the GFX100 II perfect for sporting events where subjects are moving at high speeds.
Enhanced Performance
Activating Boost Mode enhances the display frame rate to approx.120fps, providing more than enough scope to keep up with subjects moving at high speeds.
The GFX100 II’s increased buffer memory minimises any delay between frames and decreases viewfinder blackout times, ensuring seamless high-speed operation.
Blackout-free 5.3fps burst operation provides an uninterrupted view when tracking high-speed subjects. It can even achieve blackout-free 8.7fps and 5.8fps burst mode when used in 35mm format mode.
Ultimate Image Quality
The GFX100 II sets new standard for image quality across the board, with exceptional image-making qualities paired with outstanding speed and incredible video recording capabilities.
Improved pixel structure on the new GFX CMOS HS image sensor allows for an extended sensitivity of ISO 80. Now, with the GFX100 II, you can capture 16-bit images with a wider dynamic range and lower noise than ever before.
Redesigned Microlenses
Redesigned microlenses are used to improve light coverage at the corners of the GFX CMOS HS imaging sensor, resulting in greater image quality and increased autofocus accuracy at the lens’ periphery.
HEIF Image Format Support
Supporting the HEIF image format, a 10-bit file with over a billion colours, the GFX100 II delivers higher image quality, using up to 30% less space than a JPEG would.
Pixel Shift Multi-Shot
With pixel shift multi-shot, the GFX100 II can produce an ultra-high resolution 400MP image, achieving ultimate image quality with just a single press of the shutter release. In-body image stabilisation (IBIS) precisely shifts the GFX CMOS HS imaging sensor by half a pixel between each frame, making 20 frames in which every red, green, and blue pixel has the same information. This results in a detail-rich file with next to no false colours visible.
Film Simulations
Utilising 85+ years of expertise in colour science, the Fujifilm GFX100 II features multiple Film Simulation modes. Each Film Simulation offers specially formulated depth, saturation, and tonality that requires little to no postproduction adjustment — providing photographers and videographers alike with greater creative freedom, achieving a unique feel and style to images and videos tailored to their preferences. Each Film Simulation will reproduce colours and tones from Fujifilm’s most popular analogue films and photo finishing processes. The GFX100 II even features a NEW Film Simulation: Reala Ace. See what each Film Simulation adds to an image by clicking the “Film Simulations” tab above.
Image Effects for Still Photography
The GFX100 II enhances images even further with creative film-like effects including: Grain Effect, which replicates the graininess of analogue photos; Colour Chrome Effect, adding depth, detail, and vibrancy to red, green, and yellow tones where saturation is too high to achieve true gradation; Colour Chrome FX Blue, which adjusts values in just the blue tones; and Smooth Skin mode, which can be used to smooth the skin texture for a more flattering complexion during portrait photography.
White Balance
You can also make fine adjustments to the white balance with Auto White Balance, which can be set to one of three modes: Auto, White Priority, and Ambience Priority. When the GFX100 II is set to White priority under incandescent lighting, white is more likely to be produced as pure white. When it is set to Ambience Priority, however, scenes will be photographed with an overall warmer white balance, preserving the lighting characteristic of the scene.
Powerful, Cinema-Quality Video
The GFX100 II is a true hybrid workhorse, offering not just incredible still image-making capabilities, but also allowing you to capture cinema-style 4K/60p and 8K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit videos that would make even the most seasoned auteur proud. 4:2:2, 10-bit Apple ProRes can be recorded internally, and 12-bit 4:2:2 Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW in 8K/30p resolution can be recorded via HDMI connection — allowing you to fast-track a project’s delivery to colour grading workflows in Da Vinci or Adobe Premiere Pro without needing to transcode Original Camera Files (OCF) before editing.
Support for Multiple Recording Formats
Specified crops and aspect ratios for multiple camera formats are provided, including full-width GF Format, Fujinon Premista (Vista Vision) and 35mm. The GFX100 II’s large format 102MP GFX CMOS HS image sensor can now be used with some of the worlds most popular cinema optics, including Fujinon Premista and Cabrio Zoom Lenses. Two 35mm anamorphic recording modes can be used by those with wider cinematic aspirations, providing various de-squeeze monitoring options in-camera.
Improved Subject Tracking
To make tracking subjects easier than ever, the GFX100 II features AF-C mode with Wide/Tracking AF, an option which allows you to simply touch the subject on the rear LCD screen in order for the camera to reliably track them. This feature will even work when the subject is being tracked in situations with multiple subjects, accurately tracking them through a crowd of people.
High-speed subjects can be accurately tracked with confidence thanks to the GFX100 II’s increased readout rate that supresses the rolling shutter and delivers true-to-life results.
F-Log2 Support
This camera is the first in the GFX System series to support F-Log2, adding a new level of flexibility and versatility during the post-production process. Its wider dynamic range of 14+ stops* significantly enhances footage, maximising details in shadows, highlights, and midtones.

Compatible with Frame.io
Utilising the built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN connection, the GFX100 II allows you to work via cloud-first workflows without needing to buy an optional accessory, integrating Frame.io to Cloud and delivering photos or videos directly to the cloud as soon as they are created. Connecting to Frame.io allows you to securely deliver high-resolution RAW or JPEG images, h.264 video proxies, and 4K ProRes video to any project for immediate review — perfect for on-location corroboration between camera operator and producer/director.
In-Body Image Stabilisation
The GFX100 II operates effectively in low-light situations thanks to its new in-body image stabilisation system (IBIS). This system offers up to 8.0 stops of image stabilisation — more than any other Fujifilm camera* working to combat camera shake and prevent the occurrence of image blur. This IBIS system enables confident handheld image-making in almost any lighting conditions. IBIS works for both still images and video recording.
