Description
Enhanced Night-Time Optics
The highly sensitive HD 1280×720 CMOS sensor and powerful, focusable 50mm f1.0 objective lens within this digital night vision front attachment will deliver a consistent, high-definition picture — offering precise detail rendering and preserving all the benefits of a standard daytime riflescope in darkness at distances of up to 500m (when observing a standard 1.8m tall deer or human shaped object). For an even greater night-time viewing experience, the Forward F455S provides a base magnification of 1.0x, has been optimised for day scope magnifications (2.0x – 8.0x), offers a continuous zoom, and a generous 6.3°x4.7° field of view.
HD AMOLED Display
High-definition night-time viewing is achieved through the frost resistant 1746×1000 HD AMOLED display, which presents a richly contrasted, clear, and vivid picture. This display will ensure flawless, high-resolution imagery at all times, no matter the weather or environmental conditions.
Ultra-X940S IR Illuminator
The Forward F455S features a removeable Ultra-X940S 940nm IR illuminator — an excellent addition for covert observation due to its 940nm (invisible) wavelength. This IR illuminator allows for three step power adjustments between 175, 350, and 700mW, and flexible adjustment of the IR spot for precise positioning of the light flux direction to enable full illumination of the observation area.
SumLight Technology
Uses SumLight technology to substantially increase the CMOS sensor sensitivity in the event of a reduction of the light level in the observation area, enabling a passive observation in low light conditions and total darkness without the use of an IR illuminator. SumLight technology automatically activates algorithms to increase the sensor sensitivity while maintaining excellent image quality.
9 Hours of Power
Achieves up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge (depending on battery life) through the advanced, self-contained autonomous B-Pack battery pack, reliably operating for the duration of a hunt.
Display Off & Instant Start-Up
Preserves battery life through its Display Off mode, which deactivates image transmission to the device’s display, lowering the screen brightness to an absolute minimum and thus entering standby mode, rather than powering down the device entirely. Pressing the power button when the Forward F455S is in standby mode will activate instant start-up and the device will be ready and operational in just 3 seconds.
Various Adaptor Sizes
Installation of this front attachment has been made easy, converting daytime optics into a fully-functional digital night vision device in just a few seconds. Adaptors of various sizes can be used, permanently attaching to the sight’s bell and enabling quick installation of the device in front of the riflescope’s lens during night-time operation.
Further easing the attachment of the Forward F455S to day scopes, an intuitive, durable four-point bayonet mount with automatic clamp system will easily and securely dock the device onto the adaptor.
Magnesium Alloy Bodyshell
A rugged and durable, lightweight magnesium alloy bodyshell protects the device from bumps and scrapes, increasing the structural rigidity and acting as a heat sink to dissipate any warmth generated by the internal electronics.
High Calibre Recoil Rated
With help from the magnesium alloy construction, this front attachment is shock resistant and can be used with large calibre rifles, such as 9.3х64, .30-06, .300, .375, and smooth-bore and airsoft weapons without issue — withstanding shocks of up to 6000 joules.
Point of Impact Stability
Removing the stress from quick target acquisition and shot placement in low light conditions, the Forward F455S does away with the need for complex adjustments by using a sequential layout of optical and electronic components to achieve precise sight alignment and easy adjustability — ensuring stability of the point of impact when refocusing at varying distances.
IPX7 Fully Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof rated to remain flawlessly operational in heavy rainfall, snow, dense fog, or other precipitation such as environments with high levels of humidity. It will even survive immersion in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.
Operating Temperatures
Designed to perform effortlessly in a wide range of temperatures, the Forward F455S will remain reliably operational in extreme temperatures from -25°C to +50°C.
Built-In Video Recorder
On-board recording capabilities allow for still image capture and video recording with audio, meaning once-in-a-lifetime moments can be recorded, re-watched, and even shared with friends. Images and videos are stored on the integrated 16GB of internal memory and downloaded to a computer or laptop via MicroUSB connection. Videos and still images can also be stored on the 16GB of free cloud storage on the Stream Vision app.
Wi-Fi Module & Stream Vision
An integrated Wi-Fi module enables easy connection of the device to an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet using the Stream Vision 2 app. This free-to-download app offers a wide range of connectivity features, including:
Using a mobile phone as a wireless remote to control and adjust the device’s settings. View all the changes made on a smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. Recording footage or capturing still images through the device can also be achieved remotely using a mobile phone.
Browsing through all photos and videos recorded on the device, and downloading or sharing these files with friends.
Remotely updating the device’s firmware using Stream Vision’s remote update abilities, ensuring the device is always running to the best of its ability on the latest available firmware.
Wireless Bluetooth Remote Control
All aspects of the operational features are wirelessly controllable using the ergonomically designed Pulsar Bluetooth Wireless Remote Control — a convenient way of operating the device when comfort and convenience requires the user to take their hands away.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
